India 2047

Our service

Dragoman is introducing India 2047, a service based on our successful China 2060 product.

Under Prime Minister Modi, India has sought to rapidly improve the basic competitive capabilities of India while attempting to capture a contemporary industrial opportunity modelled at least partly on China’s growth story. Viksit Bharat, or Developed India 2047 is the Indian Government’s overall strategy to achieve developed nation status by 2047.

Dragoman’s India 2047 is designed to help corporate decision-makers identify opportunities and prepare a pragmatic analysis of how they might best execute on strategy.  Our service tracks and analyses the diverse policy drivers and challenges informing India’s growth trajectory through a series of overarching thematic questions:

  • Is India grasping the opportunities posed by China +1 supply chain diversification? If so, in what sectors?

  • How sustainable is India’s consumption growth? Where are the commercial opportunities for foreign companies?

  • How real is India’s reform agenda at the Federal and State level? Will industrialisation spread beyond select Southern and Western states?

These are major questions that Dragoman’s India product seeks to answer. In particular, we provide data and analysis on the most salient factors shaping growth and foreign investment, with our focus on the manufacturing, technology, energy and industrial sectors.

The aim of India 2047 is to provide our clients with a monthly update on key policy and commercial developments and answers the pertinent “so what?” question.
