Richard Gruppetta

Richard Gruppetta is a business development strategy specialist and implementer with extensive experience in Asia, and particularly in Japan. He is currently a Non-Executive Director at the United Nations Association of Australia and an Industry Advisory Board Member to the Master of International Relations Course at Monash University. He has over 26 years of experience in public and private sectors with roles such as Australian diplomat in Tokyo, partner at advisory firms and corporate advisor to global brands navigating international business and the Australian Government. He is proficient in Japanese.

Richard offers expertise in business strategy, governance, risk compliance, program design, government advocacy and private-public sector partnership development with a long-term background in business development in Japan and management consulting. This is enhanced by experience from his leadership roles within PwC and Grant Thornton, leading their Asia Practice Groups, expanding opportunities of Australian businesses into Japan, South Korea, China, South, and South-East Asia.
