Michael Gill - Executive Counsellor & Director of Asia

Michael Gill has extensive experience in Asian business development, mergers and acquisitions, strategic business development, digital media strategy and business turnaround analysis.

Michael has both worked on and managed a variety of projects in Asia, and advised on a number of business ventures and business strategy revisions. He has assisted on private projects associated with capacity building in developing countries and commercialisation of IP.

Michael has observed at close quarters the rise and, in some cases, the fall of many business figures and organisations in Australia and the region. He has made a close study of a wide variety of corporate and public policy fields. Ranging from oil shocks of the 1970s, two resource booms, two periods of aggressive action in capital markets and the 1990s IT boom.

Michael served as the Chairman of Sustainable Skills Ltd and as Director of Breakthrough Technologies Ltd. Previously, he was President of UNICEF Australia, Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Review Group, Chairman of Australian Associated Press, and Vice Chairman of Royal Far West.
