Margaret Jackson AC

Margaret Jackson AC has a distinguished career as Chairman and Director of numerous prominent Australian companies. Among her most notable positions are Chairman of Qantas from 2000 to 2007, Director of Billabong International from 2000 to 2011 and Member of the Board of BHP and ANZ.

She has also served as Chairman of Spotless, Ansett Aviation Training, FlexiGroup, the Victorian Transport Accident Commission and Director of the Australian War Memorial, Pacific Dunlop, Fairfax, Telstra, and the West Gippsland Healthcare Group. She is a former partner at KPMG and BDO Nelson.

She is currenty Director of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Barefoot to Boots, Interplast Australia and a member of Monash University’s Industry Council of Advisors.

She was awarded Companion of the Order of Australia in the General Division in June 2003 for service to business in diverse and leading Australian corporations and to the community in support for medical research, the arts and education. Margaret was also awarded the Centenary Medal in 2001 for service to Australian society in Business.
