Frank Robert

Frank Robert is one of the leading voices on the space and telecoms industries in Australia. Frank has contributed to several NASA Science missions from Mariner 10 to Cassini and has conducted planetary science research alongside some of the leading thinkers in space such as Thomas Gold, Carl Sagan and James Elliot. Frank has contributed to the development of two national space agencies and continues to advise governments and corporations in both traditional and rapidly growing new space arenas. He currently serves as an Associated Vice President with Kearney Consulting.

With over 30 years of global experience across 35 countries, Frank has supported national incumbent telecom operators and their top suppliers, conducting corporate, product and technology strategies. His contribution to the space and telecom industries has ranged from providing assistance in launching new operators to leading corporate portfolio-level strategy for major incumbents and network infrastructure suppliers, R&D optimisation, technology strategy, and due diligence.

Frank was Regional Head of Telecommunications Practice at Strategic Planning Associates from 1988 to 1990, and at Cresap McCormick and Paget from 1981 to 1988, Economic Analysis Automation Project Lead at the Service Bureau Company from 1978 to 1981, and Research under the NASA Grant on Lunar and Martian Geology at Cornell’s Center for RadioPhysics and Space Research from 1976 to 1978.

Frank has served on the Board of Directors of Emersion Software Systems and on the Advisory Board of the Australian Space Agency since its founding.
